I got tagged by Rachel but I'm doing a different quiz since I've already done the one she did. So here it is:

Name 7 random or weird facts about yourself:

1. I smile at myself in the mirror. David has caught me and it was really embarrassing.

2. I love being in water. Pools are fine but I really like swimming in lakes and rivers and especially jumping off rocks or rope swings (if I can manage to hang on long enough). When David and I were dating we went with his cousins to a nearby rope swing (the one at Avery Park). I was excited to show him how tough I was, but after three times slipping down the rope and barely hanging on long enough to clear the shoreline, I gave up. It was not the showing I was hoping for.

3. Related to number 2 - Though I like to swim in rivers and lakes, it also freaks me out. Not knowing exactly what's under me, or especially if it's a really deep lake or river and then suddenly I see a rock jutting up toward the surface - this totally gives me the willies. The only scenes in movies that really scare me are the ones where it's dark and someone has to jump into a cold river next to big pillars that are holding up a bridge.

4. I try to avoid talking about politics with friends and family because those discussions have a higher-than-average potential of causing bad feelings with little or no results.

5. My favorite candies are Junior Mints, Snickers, York Peppermint Patties, and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. When I was younger I took violin lessons in Corvallis. My dad would usually be the one to drive me there and take me home and we would always stop at the same gas station and I always got Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. I would nibble all the chocolate away and then roll the peanut butter into a ball and savor every last bite of it. In middle school some kid saw me do it and told me I was weird, so that put an end to that.

6. 7th grade was the worst year of my life.
