I love Oregon for so many reasons - the trees, the ocean, the mountains, the distinct seasons. I even love the rain. But I also hate the rain, especially when the ten day forecast looks like this:
Really. What is a parent with a rambunctious 2 yr. old supposed to do with this? My first thought whenever I wake up to a rainy day is that all the slides at all the parks are going to have puddles at the bottom. On a happier note, I'm eating big spoonfuls of cookie dough right now, so that's good.

I am no fan of the rain, so I can definitely understand why a forecast like that might not be FUN. We usually head to the library or Barnes and Noble, if I really need to get out. Tyler and Chase really enjoy playing with the trains at Barnes and Noble. :)
Rain every once in a while isn't so bad, but I agree with you... rain 10 days in a row with a toddler is no fun!!!
Kate, that is such a good idea! Thank you for posting that.
Yes, I agree. We do Borders or the library or go out to lunch for fun! Jade, I love Oregon too, but I remember those very LONG rainy days with Ryan and Emma and I do not long for them. Keep up with the cookie dough. Love you.
LOL Jade, you are hysterical. I don't know why that struck me as so funny. It's just the little ten-day forcast all in a row with those mean clouds signaling gray days ahead. Cookie dough yes.
Anyway, there's always Mimi's and Papa's house. Get over here and let the good times roll.
Jade, you're hilarious. Cookie dough really is the only solution.
Hahaha! Seriously, the cookie dough part is my favorite. As for the rain, I find this so funny, because we were checking out our weather to make sure it wasn't going to be bad for Sam's party...and we noticed a long string of sun, then Stephen wanted to check out Corvallis, and there was this very same photo-a string of rain. We laughed...but then, we shouldn't have. It wasn't very nice of us. I'm sorry Jade.
Yup, the rains are upon us. Some times we literally have to push the dogs out to do their duty. Now baking isn't my thing, but maybe I too need to mix up and batch of cookies and "save energy" by just eating the dough. Whoa, I'm hearing my jeans say, "NO." You're too funny and I appreciate the rainy day solution. We just became aware of a Children's Museum at the Mall. Amazing place to explore, play, do arts and crafts, dress-up with a stage to do a play (Zoie loved this) and burn off indoor energy. Or for Zoie and Vance, don a raincoat with boots and just stomp in the puddles. From the farm, Jean
