I remember hiking the Y when I was at BYU (10 years ago) and I remember it being kind of steep and entirely uphill. We decided to just go for it and hope for the best. Ezra did really well. He hiked most of the way on his own and rode on David's shoulders when he was tired. I carried Eli on my back. He really wanted to walk but it was steep and the trail drops off the side so we had to keep him in the Ergo most of the time. The fun part was the thunder storm. It was slow-moving (but moving our way) and finally caught up to us on the last ten minutes downhill (see the last two pictures). Ezra loved watching the lighting and counting for the thunder.

This looks like a great time. So glad your family is learning about things to do right in your own backyard. I'm really proud of Ezra and his ability to hike and not have to rely on Mom and Dad. Little kids are the best and especially when their parents totally enjoy them. Love from the NW.
Wow, the sky is gorgeous! I can't believe it. I miss those babies...
