Okay, so I was kind of sneaky in my last post. I didn't send Alex a birthday present because in fact, I gave it to her in person. Chelsea flew me up to Portland for as a surprise for Alex's birthday dinner at a sweet restaurant in downtown Portland. It was so much fun! It seems like the first time in a long time the three of us have been together. I love my sisters!

I have to leave a comment for both you and Chels- I feel so bad we bothered you with law school stuff on your fun night out!! I hope we didn't spoil it too much, but looks like fun so I doubt it...btw since we've only actually met in person like, once- is your hair naturally darker than the other girls?
And I love my daughters!!! So glad you pulled this off. I don't think Alex has ever had a better Birthday celebration. You are all so precious to me.

Jessica, I'm replying here and on your blog (in case you don't check back here) but first, it was actually really enjoyable for us to look at Rome's statement of purpose. In between all the fun we read it and talked about it here and there and the next morning we kept going back to it and talking back and forth. Seriously, we love that kind of stuff! And my hair - I actually have a *slightly* lighter natural shade than my sisters but I don't like the maintenance of highlights (I'm lazy) so I only do it when they force me to and tell me I look like a rat.
Okay, I'm back. I totally feel the laughter and I swear I can hear the giggles. The second pic of Chels and Alex is beyond wonderful. Thx.
