1st day in Savannakhet

Savannakhet is in central Laos and is apparently the most populous province. But in a country of only 6 million, it's still seems pretty rural. I see a lot of empty shops and restaurants and a general lack of people and it feels kind of lonely. It's hard to explain.
This morning I went to the PRAM meetings with the teachers and other stakeholders while David stayed with the kids. It was really interesting and I will write more about that in a different post (or on another blog). When I got back, David had rented a bike so I took the kids to the dinosaur museum (where they got to touch the bones!) and then to eat pizza and (what else?) popsicles.

I know Ezra's hair is getting long - I keep going back and forth but I think I'm going to let it grow a little. He has this huge cowlick in the back that sticks straight up when his hair is short so I'm thinking if it's longer it will lay down a little better. We'll see.

I LOVE that pic of Eli in the bike basket. Especially with a superman shirt on.

Ahh, that picture of Eli in the basket is so precious! That one needs to be big on a wall. I love it.

Ezra's hair is adorable when it's big.

You know we're big fans of scruffy hair. :) Hey...that is so awesome about the bones, pizza and popsicles! The boys look like they're having fun. You go Mama!
I agree with Anna and Chelsea, make sure that photo of Eli is really big somewhere on a canvas. Actually, in my house please.
