Japanese Gardens . . . not for small children

Something about "staying on the path" ... I should have known. The only vivid image I have of the entire day is the skid mark in the pristine moss, left by my shoe - the result of me trying to get our kids back ON the path. At one point, Henry was touching a sign (which incidentally said, "Please stay on the path") and a man in tweed gave me a very bad look and I thought, "you think this is bad, you should go back to the Tea Garden and see my giant skid mark."
Luckily, we went on one of the two "Free Days" per year, so no harm done. I took a bunch of pictures which Chelsea put up on her blog so you should check them out.

Oh my gosh! That is hilarious, I mean terrible but hilarious. On Tuesday, Sabine went around the beauty shop filling her basket with like 150 items while I was busy picking out hair color for Kerry. Aren't kids so fun??
