On our way home from celebrating my parents' accomplishment (see post below) Ezra was getting anxious to get home to "Henry's house". I tried to distract him. Here is the conversation:

Me: Ezra look out your window at all the pretty houses.

Ezra: No I don't like those houses. I want to chop them down.

Me: What?

Ezra: I want to chop them down and make them sad.

I'm thinking Zoie and Ezra could have a ball playing pretend. Zoie loves to play "mean cowboy/girl." Papa or Oma always play the role of the mean cowboy/girl. You steal her "stuff" and take it to the office in the roost. Once she gets untied from the pretend ropes, she finds you. Pretty easy since you're always in the same place. She'll either bring the sheriff or pretend to knock the stuffing out of you. Not sure how this all got started, other than the break in to their house and another time when someone broke into the Suburban while Carrie was at work. The cowb/g has to wear a western straw hat and pretend to ride a horse. Bill's horse is Blackjack and mine is whatever the name of the day happens to be. I love the imaginations of little kids, but have to wonder where some of the ideas really come from.

I like "and make them sad." That's key.
