For months we've been trying to coordinate a camping trip. Little by little (and as we came to our senses) it got whittled down to an evening in the park. But it included pretty much everything good about camping: tinfoil dinners, smores, nature, dirt, etc. It was really fun.
Watch Eli's face on these next three. Like, "Is someone going to step in here?" (Somebody did).
The only picture I got of Mike ('s hand).
David was particular about melting the chocolate while cooking his marshmallow. I smirked until I saw what it looked like and then was converted.
I LOVE when Eli lays his head on my shoulder. Those moments are so fleeting (thanks Chels for capturing it).

I love that we accomplished this and that it was actually fun.
I love those pictures of you throwing the frisbee. You are really good at it and I love to watch you. When did you get so good? How come I can't do it??
Love that the "camping," even a shortened version happened. Looks like a grand time for everyone. The sunglasses sequence is priceless. Along with the look on Eli's face, I'm chuckling about Ezra's too. Seeing your and David's Frisbee form, it's obvious this wasn't the first time. Great pix.
Nothing beats camping in a tent with small children all snuggled up from the chilly evening and pancakes in the morning. You will have to try it, even though your park adventure was a fun dinner and play time. Trust me -- if you believe in your kids, it will work and be a blast!
Sweet. Sweet. Sweet.
