At church, Ezra was invited to nursery and it was a lot of fun. We did "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" and he was able to correctly locate his nose. This is Sister Muay and Sister Sukthirak. Their families are awesome and I was so happy to see them again.
Imelda, Daaw, Jacob, and Um. Imelda is Filipino but speaks fluent Thai and English. We visited her house often and met with her niece who was learning about the gospel. Daaw was only 19 or so when I met her and I will always remember how impressed I was with how hard she worked, how much faith she had, and what a good example she was to those around her. She is still that way. Um is married to Ken who served as a missionary in Washington D.C. When I served as a missionary in Chiang Mai, he was the Branch Mission Leader so we saw him often. Um's younger sister, Ohm was a branch missionary so we worked with her a lot. Anyway, it was great to see their little family and their little boy, Jacob.
I put this picture in mainly to show how gigantic I look compared to the Thai people. This is Brother Daeng (who picked us up from the Train Station) chasing Ezra. Our camera is on the fritz.
A picture of the beautiful Chiang Mai church building. To the left is a huge field and parking lot that was recently cleared. Whenever the North is organized into a stake, Chiang Mai will most likely be the stake center.

I'm loving the pictorial of your trip down memory lane. I love the pic of you with your Thai friends. Now wonder you were recognized at the Chiang Mai train station, huh? Well, at least getting a look see at the tall man, woman and blond bomber little boy and then your gorgeous faces. And that Ezra, sweeping the world with his darling looks and personna. What an adventure. Love you, GA Jean
